Cheltenham Schedules Closed Door Meetings to Discuss Greenwood/Church Road Changes

UPDATE: Cheltenham recently updated its website to remove any reference to a closed door meeting to discuss this matter. As it was issued to us, the press release stated, “This meeting will be a closed session meeting with PennDOT’s design team, elected and appointed officials, as well as state representatives.”

On April 4, 2019, PennDOT hosted a community meeting at Glenside Memorial Hall to present plans for improvements on Church Road including and between the intersections of Rices Mill Road and Greenwood Avenue. The bid process is anticipated to begin in the last half of 2020, with construction to begin early 2021.

The Township Manager has scheduled a meeting with PennDOT, the County, elected and appointed officials, as well as state representatives behind closed doors to discuss this project and share resident concerns.

Rendering of Proposed Changes

The comments period is extended due to the pending meeting that is being scheduled. You may fill out this Short Form  as a way to share your voice and concerns on this project at the next meeting and with PennDOT. Cheltenham Township will be sure all resident comments are submitted.
