PECO Natural Gas Equipment Replacement

PECO will be replacing existing natural gas equipment in order to enhance safety and improve service reliability.  This project is expected to begin February 20, 2019 (weather permitting) at the following locations:

  • Valley Road, from Coventry Avenue to Mountain Road
  • Granite Road, from Coventry Avenue to Valley Road

Work will be performed by Henkels & McCoy, a qualified PECO contractor.  The natural gas main and service line installation portion of this project is anticipated to be completed in 15 weeks.

This project work will occur in roadways as well as on sidewalks and potentially on private property.  To ensure the safety of residents and PECO crews, natural gas service may need to be temporarily shut off for a short period – approximately 4 to 8 hours – while new service lines are connected to customer locations.

Any areas impacted on private property will be repaired to their original condition.  Work to repair and repave area roadways will begin within 45 days following the completion of the natural gas main and service line installation work, weather permitting.
