Bryan Jaurice Clark Jr., 27, of the 500 block of General Patterson Drive in Cheltenham Township, was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison after being charged with engaging in gun trafficking activities involving 17 firearms between 2020 and 2023, the Pottstown Mercury reported.
According to the article, Clark’s activities were part of a “corrupt organization that utilized straw purchase schemes in Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties.” He has been charged with corrupt organizations, making false statements on federal gun purchase forms, illegal sale or transfer of firearms, selling firearms to ineligible persons, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities and criminal use of a communication facility.
Five of the organization’s 21 guns have been recovered during criminal investigations in Philadelphia, Ambler, Darby and Springfield townships, the Mercury said.
The gun trafficking network was previously dismantled by Montgomery County District Attorney’s Violent Crime Unit.
