Monday’s Cheltenham School District board meeting, which included commentary from parents of high school football players, was featured by CBS News.
Some parents are claiming they weren’t aware of the allegations until it was too late.
“If that was my child, and he told me something happened like that, I would be in an uproar,” Nesha Hodge, a mother of one of the players, said.
The season’s early conclusion was announced on October 20 following an initial investigation into alleged hazing within the program. According to that notice, the district received a claim in late September that a student was assaulted in the football team’s locker room.
