Ross H. Kaplan, a 1973 Cheltenham High School graduate, passed away on December 20 in Cheltenham. He was 68 years old.
Kaplan was the longtime owner of Montco Acupuncture in Lower Gwynedd and served as a member of the Cheltenham Township Auxiliary Police Department and the US Search and Rescue Task Force.
After graduating from Cheltenham, Kaplan went on to attend Penn State University and Hahnemann Memorial Institute of Health Sciences in Florida, earning his degree in naturopathic medicine, his company’s website said. He was trained in acupuncture and oriental medicine, which he later studied as a post-graduate, eventually becoming licensed in acupuncture for over 25 years.
He also “wrote and produced music for radio and TV commercials, performed with bands, and worked as a recording engineer. As a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, he also acted in films and commercials,” according to his obituary.
