Chris Myarick, an Elkins Park native and 2014 Cheltenham High School graduate, has signed a new contract with the Miami Dolphins.

Myarick, a 6’5″, 261 lb. tight end, has played in five NFL seasons. In November 2021 as a member of the New York Giants, Myarick recorded his first career catch—which resulted in a touchdown—against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants went on to win the game 13-7.

Myarick has appeared in 27 games with 11 starts with Miami (2020) and the N.Y. Giants (2021-22) and has totaled 10 receptions for 82 yards (8.2 avg.) and two touchdowns. He’s spent time on the practice squad with Miami (2019-20), Cincinnati (2021) and Houston (2024). Myarick first entered the league as an undrafted college free agent with Miami on May 9, 2019. He also signed a futures contract with the Dolphins on January 5, 2021 and spent the 2021 offseason with the team. Myarick played collegiately at Temple (2015-18), where he appeared in 43 games with 25 starts and totaled 23 receptions for 229 yards (9.9 avg.) and one touchdown.

According to local historian Chuck Langerman, Myarick earned All-Suburban One League honors in both football and basketball during his Wyncote days.
