Cheltenham football takes down Council Rock, junior quarterback’s passing yards now rank 3rd all-time in program history

The Cheltenham High School football team defeated Council Rock North 51-12 on Friday, October 3.

Seven Panthers found the endzone and junior quarterback Kendall Jackson threw for 137 yards.

According to local historian Chuck Langerman, Jackson’s 3,545 career passing yards moved him into third place on the all-time list past 1974 graduate Tony Bonitatibus (left below), who threw for 3,450 yards from 1971 to 1973.

The all-time passing leader in school history is 1982 graduate Gregg Caplan (above right) with 4,024 yards.

The Panthers travel to Fort Washington this Friday for a night game against Upper Dublin. You can check out all of greater Glenside’s high school football teams’ schedules here.
