Berzin BJJ, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai school and studio located in Wyncote Commons, has expanded into a newly renovated space in the same building (Suite 203).

The martial arts facility at 827 Glenside Avenue offers beginner and advanced classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, all levels of training for Muay Thai, self-defense classes, mixed martial arts (MMA), and kids classes.

The new academy soft opened on September 27 and includes a community lounge and a retail space. A coffee bar named Grace × Abel is expected to launch on November 1.

Owner Anton Berzin, a former professional MMA fighter and a Huntingdon Valley resident, announced yesterday the launch of the Berzin Community Scholarship. From the announcement:

One of the greatest privileges of this work has been watching people change. We’ve seen shy children grow into confident young leaders, adults discover confidence they didn’t know they had, and complete strangers become lifelong friends. We’ve also had the honor of coaching athletes to championship belts and gold medals while providing world-class instruction from former UFC fighters and UFC coaches. No matter what brings someone through our doors, our goal has always been the same—to help people become stronger, more confident, and more connected.
