Bryn Athyn’s Glencairn Museum showcasing 63 Nativity scenes from around the world now through January

The Glencairn Museum, located at 1001 Cathedral Road in Bryn Athyn, is now hosting their annual World Nativities exhibition through January 25, 2026.

The museum said that every day from December 1 to December 25, a Nativity from this year’s exhibition will appear on the Advent calendar on their website, “Follow the Star: A 2025 Advent Calendar.

From the museum’s announcement:

This year, Glencairn Museum’s annual World Nativities exhibition presents 63 Nativity scenes from 29 countries, offering a vivid look at how artists across the globe interpret the Christmas story through the lens of their own cultural, regional, and artistic traditions. Materials range from carved wood and painted clay to gourd, metal, and fabric, with scenes reflecting the environment, symbolism, and craftsmanship of their places of origin. A special exhibit this year is the Make Your Own Nativity, which features the lifelong creativity of A.J. DiAntonio of Malvern, Pennsylvania. From early childhood projects to his later work as a professional Nativity artist, DiAntonio’s work demonstrates how everyday materials can be shaped into imaginative and meaningful representations of the Nativity. Visitors are also invited to create their own small Nativity at an interactive station in Glencairn’s Upper Hall.

This year includes a “Make Your Own Nativity” exhibit, inspired by the lifelong creativity of A.J. DiAntonio of Malvern, Pennsylvania. Examples below:
