Bruno family cools off Glensiders with local lemonade stand

Jack, 10, Veronica, 4, Annie, 9, and cousin Sam, 5, sold around 30 glasses of cold lemonade to residents of Glenside today.

Darlene Bruno, their grandmother, said they started around 10:30am on Rosemore Avenue in Abington Township after posting promotional signs around town on Sunday.

“It was a pretty good success,” Annie told Glenside Local.

“A lot of people stopped by,” Jack said. “It was really fun.”

“My favorite part was when I got the lemon stick,” Veronica said.

The Brunos said they tried their hand at a lemonade stand for the first time last summer, and this year exceeded expectations.

“This year went better. The signs really helped,” Annie said.

Mrs. Bruno said the day coincided with what the family calls “Mom Mom days”, which are biweekly visits to their grandparents’ house.

“It was a lot of fun. It was good to see them working together running a business. They did it all themselves,” Mrs. Bruno said.
