Brendan R. Zehner of St. Luke’s Glenside to be ordained transitional deacon

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia recently announced that Brendan R. Zehner, a member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish in Glenside, will be ordained as a transitional deacon on Saturday, May 13 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Saint Martin of Tours on Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary’s campus during Mass.

After ordination Zehner will receive an assignment to minister for one year as he completes academic and other formational programs at the seminary prior to their anticipated ordination as priests in May 2024.

Zehner entered Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary after studying history at The College of William and Mary in Virginia. A graduate of Ancillae-Assumpta Academy and St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, he has one older brother and is the son of Mark and Peggy Zehner.
