The Blue Comet Bar & Grill has announced that it is closing its doors for good on March 21st. It has been operated by the same owner since approximately 1995. According to a 2015 article in the Chestnut Hill Local, the bar was named for a passenger train operated along the Central Railroad of New Jersey from 1929 to 1941.

The property and liquor license have been listed for sale on BizBuySale.com for at least a year (probably more). The announcement on the closing didn’t state a reason or whether it had been sold.
