Best Buy locations are recalling Insignia pressure cookers and separate inner pots due to a defect that can cause hot foods to spew out, posing burn hazards.
The recalled Multi-Function Pressure Cookers were sold between October 2017 and June 2023.
According to The Associated Press, the cookers have incorrect volume markings on their inner pots that can cause consumers to overfill them. As a result, hot food and liquids can be ejected from the device when it’s vented or opened.
Best Buy has received 31 reports of injuries, including second degree and severe burns in 17 of the cases.
Consumers who have the pots should immediately stop using them and contact Best Buy for a free replacement of both the pot, and the floating locking valve which signals pressure. Consumers can register their faulty product with Best Buy online here.
Best Buy Willow Grove is located at 1130 Easton Road.
