Barry Magen, business partner of Rosenstein Arts of Jenkintown, has passed away

Barry Magen, a business partner of the local art studio Rosenstein Arts, passed away on Tuesday, November 28. He was 66 years old.

According to Rosenstein Arts’ website, Magen joined artist Mordechai Rosenstein, the studio’s founder and a Jewish calligraphist, as a business partner in 2003. Magen “worked in the Rosenstein gallery daily and with different synagogues, organizations and the general public,” the site said.

A native of Laverock and a graduate of Springfield High School and Albright College, he worked at the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism before partnering with Rosenstein Arts.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 3:00pm at Beth Sholom Congregation, 8231 Old York Road, Elkins Park, following a private interment.
