The owner of Redirected Wood Company goes simply by the name of “Meek”, but his wood-worked creations make a bold statement. I can say that I too dabble in the craft, but the results of Meek’s self-learning blow mine right out of my tiny basement.

Meeks’ experience in the trade goes back only five years. The table you see before him above may look like a two-hundred-year old oak assembly, but I’m told it’s pine. Meek says it’s just easier to work with than oak (all true), but as he said, “It’s not Home Depot pine.” No. Not even close.
For someone who’s only been at it for half a decade, he’s proven himself a natural in the trade. Not bad for someone who honed his skills watching YouTube videos.
You can find Meek’s storefront at 2810 Limekiln Pike in Glenside, and he says that some day he hopes to combine that with his 1200 square-foot work shop. (Just the sound of that makes this hopeful woodworker drool just a little).
