Arcadia to present ‘Failure: A Love Story’ the musical from April 11-14

Arcadia University’s Theater Department will present “Failure: A Love Story, Spring Awakening: The Musical” from April 11-14 in The Little Theater.

The show is directed by Allison Heishman and performances will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm, and Saturday/Sunday at 2:00pm. All performances are Pay What You Can.

From the show’s description:

By the end of 1928, all three Fail sisters will be dead — expiring in reverse order, youngest to oldest, from blunt object to the head, disappearance, and finally consumption. Tuneful songs, and a whimsical chorus follow the story of Nelly, Jenny June, and Gerty as they live out their lives above the family clock repair shop near the Chicago River, before their time unexpectedly runs out. Failure: A Love Story is a magical, musical fable where, in the end, the power of love is far greater than any individual’s successes or failures.

The production will feature designs by Dirk Durrosette (Scenic Design), Joshua Schulman (Lighting), Tom Carman (Sound) and Mary Folino (Costumes). All Arcadia productions are directed and designed by Philadelphia and New York based professional theater artists, and performed by Arcadia students.
