Arcadia Students Collecting CD Players for Nursing Home Residents

This item came across the digital transom from Arcadia University, and it looks like a great way to unload some stuff and put it to good use.

“Music, Art, and Memory,” an Honors class at Arcadia, is collecting gently used CD players and headphones for residents at Edgehill Nursing Home. This semester, the students were paired with nursing home residents for weekly visits, in which students encouraged their partners to express themselves through art and explore new genres of music.

At the end of this semester, students will create personalized CDs to give to their partners. Donated CD players and headphones will also be distributed to residents for listening purposes.
