Arcadia University in Glenside is listed among 35 Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP) schools at risk of losing federal research funds from President Donald Trump’s orders to cut National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health budgets.
According to the Associated Press, a judge has blocked those cuts for now.
According to the Penn Capital Star, NIH- and NHS-funded research “has led to the development of many pharmaceuticals and disease treatments, as well as nascent technologies that are now central to commonly used products.”
