Allicat’s Coffee House of Elkins Park to host grand opening on Nov. 29

Allicat’s Coffee House, a new veteran-owned coffee shop at 920 Township Line Road in Elkins Park (Cheltenham Township), is hosting a grand opening on Saturday, November 29 from 6:00am – 2:00pm.

Owner Alexandra “Alli” Reich told Glenside Local that their preliminary menu will include breakfast sandwiches, pre-packaged bites, and affogato, which is a scoop of ice cream with two ounces of espresso poured over the top.

Reich said the coffee will be supplied by Wake Coffee Roasters in Ambler, and the ice cream will be supplied by Reich’s mother, Emily, who owns Sprinkles Ice Cream Shop just up the road. The space will include a flower and gift shop as well.

“We’re keeping the menu limited for now,” Reich said. “The community has been so supportive. It feels surreal that it’s actually happening.”

Reich recently retired from serving as a logistics officer for the U.S. Army for the past decade. Her boyfriend and business partner Titian Perez (pictured below with Reich), owner of Rodon Signs Company across the street, has been helping with more than a year’s worth of renovations to the building’s interior.

Their hours of operation are forthcoming, and more help is needed (details below).

“We want to extend our hours, so we’re actively seeking additional baristas with experience,” Reich said.
