Abington’s Luke Coleman wins double gold at States, sets school record, plans to become professional wrestler

Abington’s Luke Coleman took home a pair of gold medals after competing in the PIAA Track & Field state championships in Shippensburg on Saturday, May 27.

Coleman’s winning time of 47.26 seconds in the 3A 400-meter dash was a new Abington Senior High School record.

He also led Abington’s District 1 champion 4×400 relay squad of Keith Axten, Jamir McClinton and Tyler Abraham to a winning time of 3:16.19 and the 22nd best finish in the nation.

His future plans include becoming a professional wrestler.

“I’ll be doing a lot of training and going to Monster Factory Pro Wrestling (in Paulsboro, N.J.) and I wanna keep the cardio and weight training all summer,” the Abington senior told PA Prep Live.
