From a notice posted on the Elkins Park Happenings Facebook group, the U-Swirl located between the CVS and the Chilis on Old York Road will close on April 7.

The notice from the Long and Taggart families cites unspecified “medical reasons” for their absence of late. They leave the scene with “heavy hearts”.

Having survived competition from a nearby Yo Fresh in Baederwood Plaza, this leaves the area without a frozen yogurt outlet. U-Swirl enjoyed seven years in operation at that location.
