Abington Township to host pre-Night Out Block Party on Aug. 4, Hatboro & Springfield to host National Night Out on Aug. 8

The Abington Township Police Department will host their 25th annual pre-Night Out Block Party on Monday, August 4 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm at Abington Town Center.

The event has been attended by thousands of local residents in years past, as well as police officers from multiple departments in Montgomery County.

The Springfield Township Police Department and the Hatboro Police Department will host a National Night Out on Friday, August 8.

Springfield Township’s event will take place from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at 1510 Paper Mill Road in Wyndmoor and will feature police officers, fire and EMS personnel, food, display tables, face painting, a magician, and a balloon artist.

Hatboro’s event will take place from 5:30pm – 8:30pm in Miller Meadow (across the street from the Borough of Hatboro Municipal Building – 414 S. York Road). Guests can meet local first responders from the Hatboro Police Department, Enterprise Fire Company, Second Alarmers, SWAT Team, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, and more.

About National Night Out

National Night Out is a unique crime and drug prevention event, typically scheduled in early August, and sponsored nationally by the Lower Merion-based National Association of Town Watch. National Night Out brings together citizens, law enforcement agencies, community groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and government officials in all across the county in an effort to build a strong partnership among members of the community to encourage cooperation in crime and drug prevention efforts.
