Correction: This story originally attributed the application to the former KFC at 1865 Easton Road. The application was received for the former Citizens Bank at 1919 Easton Road.

According to Kevin Horn, Zoning Officer for Abington Township, the parcel is indexed in the township’s system as 1865 Easton Road, thus the confusion.

Abington Township has received an application for a Taco Bell at the former Citizens Bank location at 1919 Easton Road in Willow Grove.

Developers are looking to remodel the existing 3,037 sf building including all kitchen equipment and dining room furniture. According to a Right to Know request submitted by Glenside Local, an alteration permit was approved on June 4 and will expire in six months if work has not begun.

Permits for fencing, electric, mechanics, plumbing, and signage were approved as well.

Kevin Horn, the township’s Zoning Officer/Floodplain Administrator, said that a Use &Occupancy permit application is expected closer to construction completion.
