Abington Township has received an application for a Taco Bell at the former Kentucky Fried Chicken location at 1865 Easton Road in Willow Grove.

Developers are looking to remodel the existing 3,037 sf building including all kitchen equipment and dining room furniture. According to a Right to Know request submitted by Glenside Local, an alteration permit was approved on June 4 and will expire in six months if work has not begun.

Permits for fencing, electric, mechanics, plumbing, and signage were approved as well.

Kevin Horn, the township’s Zoning Officer/Floodplain Administrator, said that a Use &Occupancy permit application is expected closer to construction completion.

The KFC permanently closed earlier this summer. More to come.
