Abington Senior High School has earned the Bronze distinction in the 2025 Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, the district announced today.
The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening participation. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.
Forty percent of the Class of 2025 took at least one AP Exam during high school, more than 25% of those graduates earned a 3 or higher on at least one AP Exam, and two percent took five or more AP Exams during high school, including in their 9th or 10th grade year.
“I commend our students, first and foremost, for committing themselves to achievement and academic excellence,” Dr. Jeffrey Fecher, Superintendent of Schools, said. “Most importantly, however, I thank our AP teachers at the high school level for educating our students in this rigorous coursework and encouraging them to take AP exams.”
