Abington resident and director of Project Chemo Crochet creates blankets for cancer patients from worldwide contributions

Linda Forrstrom, an Abington Township resident and the director of Project Chemo Crochet, an initiative which brings warm blankets to patients in cancer treatment, was featured by 6ABC today.

According to the story, Forrstrom collects uniquely crocheted squares from contributors anywhere in the world and spreads the word via the program’s Facebook page.

From 6ABC’s Facebook post:

HOMETOWN HERO: For patients in cancer treatment, the fights they have to brave require support. And as they undertake the physical tolls on their body, they can do so in a blanket made by people from all over the globe. It’s part of Project Chemo Crochet, where loving hands come together to weave strength into the hearts of those who need it.
