Abington police searching for suspects responsible for gunfire at Crestmont Park on Saturday night

The Abington Township Police Department provided details from an incident involving gunshots in Crestmont Park on the evening of Saturday, April 27.

Officials said that several shots were fired at a group of people around 10:15pm. Shell casings were recovered from the scene.

There were no injuries from the gunfire, but several vehicles were damaged. The suspects fled the park in what was reported to be a dark-colored sedan, police said.

Those at the park told police they “had any idea who would have targeted them for this attack,” the department said in a statement.

Anyone with information that may lead to the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Detective Bob Hill at (267) 536-1100.
