Update from Abington police as of 11:45pm on April 9: “Ted has been located and is home with family. Thank you everyone!“

The Abington Township Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Taras Sowirka, a 99-year old man who goes by “Ted”.

Police said Mr. Sowirka left his Meadowbrook home in his white Hyundai Azera sedan (bearing PA Registration: GTN-6527) at 5:00pm on Thursday, April 9.

Mr. Sowirka walks with a cane and is described as 5’11” with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a blue military hat, blue jacket, and dark pants.

He has been entered as Silver Alert with the Pennsylvania State Police, police said.
