The Abington Township Police Department announced that Jerrold “Jerry” Czech has been named their new Animal Control Officer.
Officer Czech previously served 27 years with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and as a part-time Animal Control Officer with Cheltenham Township.

Jerry joins us with an incredible wealth of experience and knowledge, having dedicated 27 years to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, where he played a pivotal role in wildlife management and education. His expertise extends to Pennsylvania game laws, wildlife behavior, and community engagement, making him an exceptional addition to our team.
Jerry also brings valuable local experience from his tenure as a part-time Animal Control Officer with Cheltenham Township. His hands-on approach and deep commitment to protecting both wildlife and the community have earned him a stellar reputation.
Throughout his career, Jerry has demonstrated remarkable dedication to public service, fostering understanding and harmony between people and animals. His passion for educating the public about wildlife safety and conservation ensures he will be an invaluable resource for our community.
