Abington police honor retiring officer John Landes, 25 years with the Township

The Abington Township Police Department recently honored retiring officer John Landes who served the Township for 25 years.

From the Department’s Facebook post:

Congratulations on your Retirement John Landes!

On behalf of Chief Molloy,

After more than 37 dedicated years of service to the law enforcement profession, 25 of which were served at Abington Township, John Landes retired today. John began his career with the City of Tampa Police Department in November of 1985. After serving 12 years there he joined the Abington Township Police Department in August of 1998. During his time with the Department, he served in the Bike Unit and honorably in the Honor Guard. As a senior leader on the team, John spent countless hours traveling around the region, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice and representing the Department well. John will be missed. May God bless John, his wife Wendy and children Ryan and Elijah both serving/protecting our country as members of the Air Force.

Congratulations John!
