Officer Raymond De Los Santos of the Abington Township Police Department recently received an Officer Commendation for his efforts in apprehending the possessor of a loaded polymer-style “ghost gun” and crystal methamphetamine.

According to the Department, the arrest took place on July 27 after Officer De Los Santos stopped a truck driver while on patrol.

De Los Santos discovered the gun, marijuana and crystal meth on the driver’s person before taking him into custody.

De Los Santos began his tenure in Abington in 2021, bringing with him K9 Moose, Montgomery County’s first police bloodhound.
