Abington police chief to join law enforcement discussion on fentanyl trafficking following massive bust in Kensington

Abington Township Police Chief Patrick Molloy and Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele will join various law enforcement leaders and local elected officials to discuss progress in stopping fentanyl traffickers on Wednesday, October 29 at 2:30pm at the Office of Attorney General (1600 Arch Street #300 in Philadelphia).

Attorney General of Pennsylvania Dave Sunday and other speakers will discuss last week’s massive drug bust and multiple raids in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood.

According to officials, the raids were part of an indictment against 33 defendants allegedly part of a drug trafficking ring spanning nearly a decade that sold fentanyl and other narcotics throughout Kensington.

David Metcalf, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, said it was the largest federal indictment this century brought by his district. Dozens of drugs and guns were recovered, the FBI said.
