At September 28th’s Board of School Director’s meeting, the Abington School District presented its plans for the implementation of the Grade Span Reconfiguration at the secondary level. This implementation will begin in September 2022, which coincides with the completion of of the Additions and Renovations Project at Abington Senior High School. 

Beginning in the 2022-2023 school year, Abington School District’s nine schools will be reconfigured in which grades they serve: 

• Abington Senior High School, will now accommodate grades 9-12 (currently ASHS serves grades 10-12).
• Abington Junior High School will serve grades 6-8 (currently AJHS serves grades 7-9).
• All seven ASD elementary schools, will now be designated for grades K-5 (currently the elementary schools are K-6).
