The Abington Senior High School girls’ flag football team captured the Suburban One League title Wednesday night after taking down North Penn 24-19 in Lansdale.

This marks the second championship for the program, which went a perfect 9-0 in 2023 as a participant in the Philadelphia Eagles-sponsored league. They took down North Penn 26-19 in last year’s finals.

The Lady Ghosts defeated rival Cheltenham High School in the second round on Tuesday, May 28 in Wyncote.

In related news, La Salle College High School’s baseball and volleyball teams each took home PIAA District 12 titles on Wednesday.
