The 13th annual Jesse Hill Memorial Wiffle Ball Tournament will take place on Saturday, October 24, at the Jenkintown High School baseball field.
Hill, a 2007 graduate of Jenkintown High School, passed away in 2012 at the age of 24 after struggling with addiction and depression. In 2014, his close friends and family started a tournament to honor his memory and help others facing similar struggles.

What began as a young group of friends and family has become an annual community tradition. Over the years, the tournament has collectively raised $50,597.00 for Caron Treatment Centers while promoting awareness surrounding addiction and suicide.
“The event is a way to remember Jesse, bring people together, and turn a painful loss into something that helps others,” tournament organizer Anna Plumly said, noting that food, drinks, music, raffle items, and lawn games are offered throughout the day.
