Mr. Robert F. “Bob” McAnespey, a Cheltenham native, La Salle College High School graduate, and former La Salle College High School Director of Development, passed away on Tuesday, September 15. He was 78.

A graduate of La Salle University and an Oreland resident for over 50 years, Mr. McAnespey served the City of Philadelphia as a juvenile probation officer before devoting himself to La Salle College High School and Holy Redeemer Health System, his obituary said.

He “played, refereed, and coached” his daughter’s teams and was the inaugural recipient of the William J. Whelan ’55 Alumni Service Award in 2001. He also served as a former president of La Salle College High School’s Alumni Association.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11AM at Holy Martyrs Church, 120 Allison Rd Oreland, PA 19075. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 9-11AM at the church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
