Christopher Hoffman, Lower Moreland Township’s manager since 2013, has been appointed the new manager for Middletown Township in Bucks County.

According to Lower Moreland Township’s website, finance director EJ Lee has been named interim township manager.

According to Middle Township’s press release, Hoffman officially begins his new role on August 17.

During his time in Lower Moreland, Hoffman oversaw “municipal operations across multiple departments, managed a multi-million-dollar operating budget, led personnel and labor relations efforts, coordinated land development projects, and worked closely with elected officials, department heads, consultants, and community stakeholders,” the release says.

He was assistant township manager for Lower Moreland prior and “helped oversee public communications, grant administration, service contracts, and zoning initiatives.”

Hoffman also served as project coordinator for the Lower Moreland Township Authority where he managed long-term infrastructure planning and utility-related initiatives.

“I am honored to join Middletown Township’s staff and Board of Supervisors in serving the Middletown community,” Hoffman said. “I will look back on my time in Lower Moreland with gratitude for the relationships we built and the trust we sustained together. At the same time, I am excited for the opportunity and challenge ahead in Middletown, where I know a strong foundation already exists.”
