Bryn Athyn man pleads guilty to possessing and disseminating child sexual abuse materials

Benjamin Jackson, 20, of the 3000 block of Buck Road in Bryn Athyn, pleaded guilty to felony charges of possessing child pornography, dissemination of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, The Pottstown Mercury reported.

According to their coverage, Jackson faces a possible maximum sentence of 13½ to 27 years in prison for incidents that occurred between January and October of 2025.

He was arrested after an investigation by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General in September 2025, The Mercury said, when Snapchat filed a report with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a user of the app saved, shared or uploaded two images of child sexual abuse material.

State agents determined the images depicted a prepubescent female child exposing her genitals. Investigators linked Jackson to that account and then obtained a warrant to seize all electronic devices at Jackson’s residence.

“Authorities found at least one video on the cellphone that depicted an underage girl engaged in a sexual pose and a sex act in front of a camera,” The Mercury said.
