The Hatboro Police Department responded to the area of 517 S York Road for a single vehicle crash at 01:59am today.
According to the report, a sedan left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was fatally injured and was pronounced deceased on scene.
“The identity of the driver is being withheld currently pending notification of next of kin,” the report said. “The Hatboro Police Department was assisted on scene by Enterprise Fire Company, Second
Alarmers Rescue Squad, Upper Moreland Police Department and Whitemarsh Police Department.”
The roadway’s northbound lane was closed until 6:15am while PECO repaired the utility pole, police said.
