Kathy Gendelman of Huntingdon Valley was briefly interviewed by 6ABC after she helped a driver whose car became trapped in yesterday’s floodwaters.
The driver told Action News that he was deceived by how high the water had risen at Clearview Avenue and Donna Drive in Lower Moreland Township.
“He was really upset, which I completely understand. I told him at least you’re ok, you didn’t drown,” Gendelman said.
Fetters Mill Fire Rescue (Huntingdon Valley Fire Company and Bryn Athyn Fire Company) announced last night that they performed six water rescues of motorists who had driven into floodwaters.
Area residents also spoke about the drainage situation in the township. 6ABC’s video coverage is below:
