The Abington Township Police Department will host the first annual Abington Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, May 31.

Race options include the Triathlon, Team Triathlon, and Aqua Bike and Duathlon. Each event begins at 7:00am.

The day will kick off with a 300-meter swim in Abington High School’s heated pool, followed by a 11.5-mile closed bike course through Abington, and finish with a 5K run across the Abington High School and Middle School Campuses.

In related news, Abington Township will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly installed playground at Ardsley Park on Thursday, January 30 at 4:00pm.
