The Stotesbury in Wyndmoor to host grand opening on Nov 29

The Stotesbury, a family-friendly sports bar at 812 E. Willow Grove Avenue in Wyndmoor, will host a grand opening on Friday, November 29 at 4:00pm.

Owners Brian Harrington and Jay Overcash (a Wyndmoor resident who also owns Enza Pizzeria across the street) are installing a bike rack in the front of the property “so people can get on their beach cruiser and stop by for lunch and a beer,” Harrington said.

“My four sons went to La Salle College High School. My wife and I walk our dogs in the neighborhood. We’re true locals,” Harrington said.

Harrington, a graduate of Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, is also the owner/founder of City Tap, which operates a number of restaurants in Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, and beyond.

“This is a pet project for me. It’s more interesting than building big restaurants in other cities,” he said. “We think we have a pretty good pulse on what’s desired in the neighborhood. We want to be a place where people can find a reliable menu. We’re trying to be conscious of price points so that parents can bring their kids after a game without breaking the bank.”

The location is the former home of Fatty’s Bar & Grill, which permanently closed in July 2023. A construction foreman told Glenside Local in June that two to three apartments are being built above the bar.

Their operational hours as of November 29 will be 4:00pm – 10:00pm Tuesday – Sunday. The menu can be found below:
