The Great American Relay, a 547-mile run to honor U.S. military veterans and those who passed away on September 11, 2001, will pass through greater Glenside Monday morning.
Runners will arrive at Pioneer Fire Company in Jenkintown at 10:05am, Abington Fire Company at 10:44am, Upper Moreland Fire Department at 11:01am, and Enterprise Fire Department in Hatboro at 11:22am.
The Great American Relay takes place during Patriots Week (September 11-17), begins at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, and ends at the World Trade Center Memorial in New York.



The relay has 161 legs and stops at 118 firehouses along its route. Runners will be escorted by local police and other emergency vehicles.
