Chris Williams, a 2002 Cheltenham High School graduate, will be inducted into the Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame on May 11.
Williams, an Elkins Park native, continued his student-athlete days at Philadelphia University (Textile), a Division I program, where he was a four-year starter for the Rams from 2002-2005. He was named a first-team all-star in both the Philadelphia Soccer Seven and the Atlantic Soccer Conference his junior and senior seasons.
After graduating with a business degree, Williams went on to an 11-year professional soccer career, representing teams such as the NY Red Bulls, Miami FC, San Antonio Scorpions, and various indoor teams including the Philadelphia Kixx, Baltimore Blast, and Harrisburg Heat.
He also played internationally in countries like Hungary, Denmark, Vietnam, & Thailand.
In recent years, Williams has been actively involved with Cheltenham Sports, contributing to the development of soccer in his hometown community.
