Update: The roadway is now open.

A telephone pole on the corner of Greenwood Avenue and Maple Avenue in Cheltenham Township is being repaired after breaking in half when a car struck it.

The bottom half of the pole was resting on the road and both lanes on Greenwood Avenue have been closed down.

A Cheltenham Township Facebook post said that Greenwood Avenue between Bent Road and Fernbrook Avenue were closed down.
