Joshua Hugh Robinson, 19, of Glenside, has been accused of felony sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault without consent.

The accusations stem from a February 4 incident in which the victim, a Penn State student, “explained that she met Robinson at an off-campus party and when they went back to his room, he violently assaulted her,” 6NBC WJAC reported on Monday.

According to WJAC, police said her injuries required medical intervention. Internet searches involving sexual assault were found on Robinson’s cell phone.

The affidavit of probable cause filed by university police states that Robinson and the woman started consensually kissing but Robinson then removed the woman’s clothes without her consent and assaulted her. She later received medical treatment at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

In interviews with police following the incident, Robinson admitted knowing that the woman was bleeding and “intentionally disposed of” his bed sheets. He reportedly told his friends that he had “an emergency,” according to police interviews.

According to NorthCentralPA.com, Robinson, a former Penn State student, “was also charged with misdemeanor indecent assault without the consent of others. Robinson posted $55,000 unsecured bail on June 30 and was released from custody.”

He is scheduled to appear in court on July 12 for a preliminary hearing.
