Frank Osborne, Cheltenham resident and longtime owner of Osborne’s Inn in OCNJ, has died at 81

Frank Osborne, a Cheltenham resident and longtime owner of Osborne’s Inn in Ocean City, New Jersey, died on June 20 at age 81.

Osborne ran the inn, one of the few remaining guest houses in Ocean City, for 50 years with his wife Peggy Ann.

From his obituary:

He played an active role in his local communities, whether as the President of Home-School Association of St. Joseph’s Elementary School in Cheltenham, PA, Track Coach, or as a board member for the Cardinal Dougherty Capital Campaign. Frank was always willing to lend a helping hand or contribute to a worthwhile cause that helped others and improved his local community and the world.

His children posted the following words on Facebook:

Sadly, our dad, Frank Osborne, went to Heaven this afternoon. He was surrounded with love by his family over the past 24 hours and went peacefully. We were very fortunate to have him as a loving guide and mentor and are heartbroken with this tremendous loss. We know he was welcomed with love and many cheers and beers from so many loved ones.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers for all of us, especially our mom. We will make sure we share funeral arrangements once they are known.

“Don’t cry because it’s over…smile because it happened.” Thanks Dad for the memories. You are loved beyond words.
