Niche, a Pittsburgh-based firm which provides in-depth metrics of schools and neighborhoods, ranked Jenkintown as Pennsylvania’s 20th best place to live in the state, down two notches from 2022. It was ranked #5 in Best Places to Live in Montgomery County.
The report gave Jenkintown an overall “A+”, an “A” for its public schools, a “B” for crime & safety, an “A-” for housing, an “A” for night life, an “A+” for families, and a “A-” for diversity.

Jenkintown is a suburb of Philadelphia with a population of 4,418. Jenkintown is in Montgomery County and is one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania. Living in Jenkintown offers residents an urban feel and most residents own their homes. In Jenkintown there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many young professionals and retirees live in Jenkintown and residents tend to lean liberal. The public schools in Jenkintown are highly rated.
