Jenkintown PD Declares Beaver Hill Secure, Suspect in Custody

The Jenkintown Borough Police Department has declared the emergency response at Beaver Hill West condominiums to be resolved. The suspect was taken into custody about 10:30 this morning. There were no operation-related injuries reported.

The department plans to hold a briefing at Borough Hall at noon today to provide more details.

In a statement provided by Todd Stieritz from the Montco Public Safety Office, the Jenkintown police responded at 5 AM to a report of a domestic assault at apartment 705. The suspect is described as a 36-year-old male.

The woman escaped and fled to a neighbor’s apartment and called the police, who responded but were unable to make contact with the male resident at 705.

The woman was transported to Abington Hospital where she was treated for facial injuries and a broken wrist.
