Abington High School alum Lori A. Smyth, a former broadcast promotions director and animal lover who was a co-founder of Show Your Soft Side, a national anti-animal abuse organization, died on Saturday. She was 53.
Lori was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer, in 2021. She continued working with Show Your Soft Side as best she could, her wife Malinda Davis said.
To be successful, an organization has to have a heart. Yesterday morning at 6:02 am, we lost ours. ?
