U.S. News & World Report‘s 2026-2027 Best High Schools list recently ranked four greater Glenside high schools in the state’s top 100.
The rankings are based on six performance measures, including student achievement on state-required assessments, graduation rates, and college readiness.
Jenkintown Middle/High School was a top performer for schools in our area, ranking 49th in the state among the 675 public high schools evaluated.

Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Jenkintown Middle/High School is 54%, and the 12th grade enrollment is 55 students. Additionally, 26% of students in the school are economically disadvantaged.
Upper Dublin High School is ranked 51st in Pennsylvania.
Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Upper Dublin High School is 51%, and the 12th grade enrollment is 337 students. Additionally, 20% of students in the school are economically disadvantaged.
Lower Moreland High School is ranked 53rd in Pennsylvania.
Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Lower Moreland High School is 55%, and the 12th grade enrollment is 235 students. Additionally, 21% of students in the school are economically disadvantaged.
Springfield Township High School is ranked 86th in Pennsylvania.
Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Springfield Twp High School is 55%, and the 12th grade enrollment is 199 students. Additionally, 24% of students in the school are economically disadvantaged.
Abington High School is ranked 102nd in Pennsylvania.
Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Abington High School is 50%, and the 12th grade enrollment is 706 students. Additionally, 35% of students in the school are economically disadvantaged.
Cheltenham High School is ranked 167th in Pennsylvania.
Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Cheltenham High School is 45%, and the 12th grade enrollment is 332 students. Additionally, 47% of students in the school are economically disadvantaged.
Upper Moreland High School is ranked 189th in Pennsylvania.
Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Upper Moreland High School is 28%, and the 12th grade enrollment is 273 students. Additionally, 43% of students in the school are economically disadvantaged.
In 2023-2024, Jenkintown High ranked 20th, Lower Moreland High came in at 29th, Abington High at 123rd, Cheltenham High at 140th, and Upper Moreland High School at 283rd.
